It is heartbreaking to witness all the destruction and death affecting the lives of everyone in Ukraine. Over six million people have already left their homeland to seek safety.
Most Canadians have felt quite hopeless about how we could help.
Our community has a history of helping those who have been displaced by the effects of war. It only makes sense that we continue this effort to support Ukrainians who have been forced to leave their country.
The Tiny Township Lions Club and the Penetanguishene Lions Club working along with local friends and the Huronia Community Foundation are ready to help a Ukrainian family settle in Midland or Penetanguishene.
