Fire bans lifted across region

The Township of Tiny previously implemented a fire ban, effective July 4, 2020 at 12:01 a.m. Given the amount of rain received and the cooler temperatures, the fire ban has been lifted, effective July 13, 2020 at 9 a.m.

The fire hazard rating will remain at high, as the forecasted weather reports indicate a return to high temperatures by the end of the week.

All open-air burning in the Township of Tiny requires a fire permit. Fire permits can be purchased online or at various convenience stores throughout the Township.

Visit www.tiny.ca/firepermits for more information. Individuals who choose to burn are reminded to adhere to the conditions listed on the back of their permit, and to exercise caution when burning.

Fire permit sales are currently suspended in Midland with the Town Municipal Office closed, however you may still have small fires without a permit.
