COVID-19 vaccine clinics in region this week

There are several pop-up COVID-19 vaccine clinics scheduled this week in Simcoe County and Muskoka, including two in Collingwood. 

The following clinics, taking place between Dec. 6-12, offer any dose you are eligible for. Walk-ins are welcome. Currently in Ontario, people aged 12 and up can receive three doses of a COVID vaccine. Fourth doses are available for people aged 60 and older as well as Indigenous people and their household members aged 18 and over. Bivalent boosters are available for people aged 12 and up as capacity allows. 

  • Tuesday, Dec. 6

    • Clinic – Everett Legion, 6190 County Rd. 13, Everett from 12:30 – 6:30 p.m.

    • Clinic – Huntsville Trinity United Church, 33 Main St. E. Huntsville from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

    • GO-VAXX Bus – E3 Community Services (MCCSS), 100 Pretty River Pkwy., Collingwood from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.

  • Wednesday, Dec. 7

    • GO-VAXX Bus – Peggy Hill Team Community Centre, 171 Mapleton Ave., Barrie from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

  • Thursday, Dec. 8

    • Clinic – Bracebridge United Church, 46 Dominion St., Bracebridge, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

    • Clinic – Penetanguishene Public Library, 24 Simcoe St., Penetanguishene from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.

  • Friday, Dec. 9

    • Clinic – Orillia Common Roof Boardroom, 169 Front St., S., Orillia from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. 

  • Saturday, Dec. 10

    • GO-VAXX Bus – Huntsville Active Living Center, 20 Park Dr., Huntsville from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.

    • GO-VAXX Bus – Lakehead University – Orillia Campus, 500 University Ave., Orillia from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.

    • GO-VAXX Bus – Centennial Park Waterfront, 65 Lakeshore Dr., Barrie from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

  • Monday, Dec. 12

    • GO-VAXX Bus – New Life Church, 28 Tracey Ln., Collingwood from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.

    • GO-VAXX Bus – Jackson Plaza, 50 Main St. E., Beeton from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

    • GO-VAXX Bus – Barrie Construction Association, 200 Brock St., Barrie from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Appointments for the GO-VAXX clinics may also be booked up to four days prior to the clinic through the  COVID-19 vaccination portal or by calling the Provincial Vaccine Contact Centre at 1-833-943-3900.

The health unit continues to offer COVID-19 vaccinations on a walk-in and appointment basis at the Georgian Mall, 509 Bayfield St. (lower level) in Barrie: 

  • Wednesday: 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Friday: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Saturday: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Appointments are also available at the health unit office immunization clinic locations in Midland, Orillia, Cookstown, Collingwood, Huntsville and Gravenhurst. Appointments can be booked through the vaccination portal or provincial phone line. 

You may also receive the vaccine at many local pharmacies or booked appointments through some primary care providers, and Family Health Teams who are offering vaccine as part of their regular clinical practice. Pop-up and GO-VAXX mobile clinics will continue to be scheduled throughout Simcoe and Muskoka.

In addition, the COVID-19 Immunization Clinic at 29 Sperling Dr. in Barrie offers walk-ins and booked appointments from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Appointments may also be booked with the Couchiching Ontario Health Team Clinic located in the Orillia Soldier's Memorial Hospital Kiwanis Building - West Entrance 170 Colborne St., W.
