The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit has reported 63 new COVID-19 cases and zero deaths in its latest update posted Nov. 30.
The new cases reported in the region today are as follows:
- Collingwood (1): One youth under 18 years old whose case is still under investigation.
- Wasaga Beach (1): One youth under 18 years old whose case is still under investigation.
- Clearview (1): One person between 18 and 34 years old whose case is linked to close contact transmission.
- Barrie (30): Eleven youth under 18 years old, four people between 18 and 34 years old, eight people between 35 and 44 years old, four people between 45 and 64 years old, and three people between 65 and 79 years old. Seven cases are linked to close contact transmission, five are listed as community-acquired (no known link) and the rest are still under investigation.
- Springwater (3): One youth under 18 years old, and two people between 45 and 64 years old. Two cases are listed as community-acquired (no known link) and the other case is still under investigation.
- Bradford West Gwillimbury (5): Two youth under 18 years old, one person between 35 and 44 years old, and two people between 45 and 64 years old. All five cases are still under investigation.
- Innisfil (3): One youth under 18 years old, two people between 45 and 64 years old. All three cases are still under investigation.
- Orillia (10): Four youth under 18 years old, one person between 18 and 34 years old, two people between 35 and 44 years old, two people between 65 and 79 years old, and one person over 79 years old. Two cases are linked to close contact transmission, two are listed as community-acquired (no known link) and the rest are under investigation.
- Oro-Medonte (1): One person between 65 and 79 years old whose case is listed as community-acquired (no known link).
- New Tecumseth (1): One person between 45 and 64 years old whose case is listed as community-acquired (no known link).
- Essa (5): Two youth under 18 years old, and three people between 18 and 34 years old. One case is linked to close contact, and the others are still under investigation.
- Muskoka District (2): One youth from Huntsville and one youth from Bracebridge.
Included in the new cases reported today are 38 unvaccinated, four partially vaccinated, and 21 fully vaccinated people.
There are currently 641 active cases in the region.
Twenty-nine people from Simcoe County and three people from Muskoka District are hospitalized with COVID-19.
Since the start of the pandemic, the local health unit has confirmed 15,647 cases of COVID-19 with 14,728 of those cases recovered and 278 cases ending in death.
More than 74 per cent of the population living in Simcoe-Muskoka (including children) have received both doses of vaccine and nearly 78 per cent have had at least one dose of a vaccine.

- St. Ann's elementary school, Penetanguishene, declared Nov. 19, two cases
- West Bayfield Elementary School, Barrie, declared Nov. 18, seven cases
- Trillium Woods Elementary School, Barrie, declared Nov. 18, six cases
- Severn Shores Public School, Cumberland Beach, declared Nov. 18, eight cases
- Emma King Elementary School, Barrie, declared Nov. 17, nine cases
- Maple Grove Public School, Barrie, declared Nov. 16, 12 cases
- St. Marie of the Incarnation, Bradford, declared Nov. 15, six cases

An outbreak previously declared at ES Le Caron secondary school in Penetanguishene, was declared over on Nov. 29. There were seven cases associated with the outbreak.
Other ongoing outbreaks reported in Simcoe County include:
- Waterford Retirement Residence, Barrie, declared Nov. 29, fewer than five resident cases and fewer than five staff cases.
- Fitness and sports centre, Simcoe County, declared Nov. 26, eight cases
- Unnamed shelter in Simcoe County, declared Nov. 19, nine cases
- Unnamed shelter in Simcoe County, declared Nov. 1, 26 cases
An outbreak previously declared at Mapleview Community Church on Nov. 4 was declared over on Nov. 29 with 28 cases (in Simcoe-Muskoka residents) associated with the outbreak.
An outbreak declared at a shelter in Simcoe County on Nov. 8 was declared over on Nov. 29 with seven cases associated with the outbreak.
