LETTER: Yard waste pickup dates don't jibe with Bee City status

The following letter is in response to story 'Leaf and yard waste collection starts April 10 in Simcoe County', published April 3.

Dear Editor,

I find it rather curious that the schedule for yard waste pickup starts mid April through end of May when we are being urged to not remove leaves and trim plants until the end of May to support pollinators. As a bee friendly town, Midland council should negotiate with the county for later dates.
