Dear Editor,

My friend Forrest Willett, who miraculously survived a devastating car accident that should have claimed his life, taught me a lesson: “Peter, every day, start with offering thanks for something in your life. Show the gratitude you feel for good things that come your way.”

It is indeed a practice I now observe daily.

And so, how captivating it was for me to read in Midland Today about Nadine Woods who has placed Nature Gratitude boxes around the community for people to find and leave a simple note about why they’re grateful.

As the article states, “To live a joyful life, you must become an expert in gratitude.”

Right on!!
