Dear Editor,

Couldn't agree more with Bruce Henderson’s comment about Midland’s new unfriendly parking program.

Before coming to Midland, I lived in Muskoka where our local towns had abandoned paid parking as a friendly gesture to all, whether locals or tourists. It just made sense: The small net revenue that resulted from the old pay system could not justify the annoyance the system created.

What a shame Midland has chosen an antiquated way of raising a few shekels while lowering people’s otherwise positive experience in the town.
