Dear Editor,

I wanted to write and share such an awesome act of kindness that happened to me the day before Christmas.

I was not feeling that great emotionally due to everything in my head with COVID and the holidays coming up.

I always shop at Foodland in Midland and on this day I went in to pick up some things. I was walking through the store and was handed a bunch of Christmas flowers from Debbie Trew and the flower lady (Melissa Brown) who I deal with and the ladies from the store.

I was just shocked and started to cry.

Debbie said to me, ‘it’s because when I come in there I make their day.’

I could not for the life of me believe an act of such kindness could go so far for me. I am still in shock and have a smile on my face.

It just goes to show a little or a lot of kindness goes a long way in the mind and heart.

Thank you,

Janet Scace
