RE: Monday's letter to the editor entitled Back to School with COVID-19

First off, who thought this was a good idea to publish a letter that is on its face a masking of science?

What studies from a reputable source say mask wearing is dangerous. Dentists, are you kidding me! My dentist insists on mask wearing, clean hand protocols and social distancing. Recommend you get another dentist.

The only defence we have are masks, keeping clean hands and social distancing. To suggest otherwise is not only foolish, but deadly. Sure it’s tough on our children, but rather this than having to see a loved one for the last time on a Zoom call.

Our healthcare workers need our support. Ever been on a COVID ward? These people live this every day and I am sure they will have haunting memories for the rest of their lives. I am not a healthcare worker but have seen the toll of this virus first hand.

"Mask Mouth” and all the other opinionated complainers need to take a deep breath, and if you and your family are masked you can live to complain another day, if not, well make sure you have a Zoom app on you phone.

It’s all our responsibility to each other to wear a mask, social distance and wash your hands and beat this thing. Teach your children well. Support all our front-line workers!
