Remember the slogan: What do we want? When do we want it?
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau forgets that a "responsible democracy" depends on the principle of the consent of the governed. A governing minority government of 33% support still depends on the buy-in of the "fringe" 67% of the populace.
The "tin hats" from coast to coast want the mandates and vax passports ended now. Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe described this rightly as a return of our "rights and freedoms," which were "temporarily suspended for COVID."
Described dismissively and wrongly as "racists, misogynists, insurrectionists, hostage takers, mercenaries, yobs, yahoos and anti-Semites" by politicians and the media, these truckers want the rights of all citizens of Canada restored after two years of tremendous personal and societal sacrifice,.by all provincial governments and the federal government in Ottawa.
Residents of the UK, Denmark, Ireland, Finland and Switzerland have (and soon in Saskatchewan and Alberta) been regranted their freedom.
Why aren't all citizens of Canada finally entitled to ours?
Yes, the truckers in Ottawa honk loud and clear. We want our freedoms and we want it now!
