Glad to hear this is going to get attention. I hope the research and strategies look at hours and days of operation of local businesses.

If our local main street businesses in Midland choose to close Sunday and Monday they are in effect saying they are not interested in being a tourist destination. I have on more than a few occasions had visitors express disappointment that almost nothing was open when they went walking trying to shop King Street.

It’s a short summer season and visitors have long memories when they share their experience with other would-be visitors.
