NEWS RELEASE
TOWNSHIP OF TINY
************************
The Township is committed to following the orders of the Provincial Government and taking any additional measures it deems necessary to control the spread of the COVID19 virus.

Everyone must do his or her part. With the nicer weather around the corner, we ask that you keep the following in mind:

  1. Landscaping/Pool Maintenance: For those considering the use of various services to prepare for the upcoming summer months, such as landscaping or pool maintenance services, please keep in mind that certain non-essential businesses are temporarily closed to help protect the health and safety of the people of Ontario in response to the declared emergency. Provincial Order 82/20, under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act (EMCPA), identifies essential businesses including repair and property management services strictly necessary to manage and maintain the safety, security, sanitation and essential operation of institutional, commercial, industrial and residential properties and buildings.
  2. Short Term Rentals: Provincial Order 82/20 also mandates that every person who provides short term rentals in rental accommodations shall ensure that any rentals booked after April 4, 2020 are only provided to individuals who are in need of housing during the emergency period.

Allegations of non-compliance with the EMCPA can be made by calling the OPP nonemergency line (1-888-310-1122). Dial 911 for emergencies only.

You may also call the Stop the Spread Business Information Line at 1-888-444-3659 to confirm whether a specific situation is non-compliant. Assistance is available Monday to Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. For more information, please visit www.ontario.ca/stopthespread.
