The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit has declared an outbreak over at Georgian Manor in Penetanguishene.

Since the outbreak was declared at the long-term care home on Dec. 27, there were three resident cases and three staff cases reported. Two units at the home, Willow and White Pine, were affected by the outbreak.

“We are pleased to report that all COVID-19 positive cases at Georgian Manor have been resolved, meaning that there are no remaining active cases in our home,” wrote a County of Simcoe official in a release late Thursday.

“However, we are not letting our guard down. We continue to work closely with staff to ensure we are following all the necessary precautions to keep your loved ones safe,” the release noted.

Last week, more than 90 per cent of residents received their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
