The Town of Penetanguishene continues to monitor news and updates concerning COVID-19 in order to ensure we work to keep our community members safe.

The following update was provided on Aug. 28, 2020.

Arena Public Open House:
The Town of Penetanguishene is preparing an Arena & Recreation Centre Study to guide decision-making with respect to the future of the Penetanguishene Memorial Community Centre. Community members are invited to participate in a Public Open House, Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020, at the Rotary Champlain Wendat Park Pavilion (Splash Pad) from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Click here for more information.

Don’t feel comfortable attending in person? No problem! The public will be given the opportunity to provide feedback electronically through a survey that will be made available at a later date. 

Connect Penetanguishene: 
The Town of Penetanguishene has launched its new online community engagement site, Connect Penetanguishene, where community members are able to share their ideas and opinions on municipal projects. The full news release is available here. Visit the website to register.

Skills at Work Program – Georgian College:
The Skills@Work program provides manufacturing companies in Simcoe County the opportunity to assist in developing and addressing skills and training gaps within the industry and will identify solutions to assist in finding, maintaining and developing skilled employees. They are currently looking for input on competencies and skills required for entry level positions in developing training package(s) to jobseekers. Interested employers can contact [email protected]
