The Canada-U.S. border closure has again been extended until at least Nov. 21, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Federal Public Safety Minister Bill Blair said on Twitter this morning "we are extending non-essential travel restrictions with the United States until November 21st, 2020. Our decisions will continue to be based on the best public health advice available to keep Canadians safe."

The previous agreement was set to expire on Wednesday.
Cases south of the border continue to rise as Canada battles its second wave of the virus.
Travel has been restricted since March, prohibiting anyone from crossing via land for all but essential travel.
The federal government recently eased restrictions allowing extended family members of Canadian citizens and permanent residents into the country.
Additionally, international students will be allowed into Canada starting Tuesday.
